Who gets access to the information I share with the app?

Your information is private and secure

PHapp® is designed with your privacy as a top priority. We want you to understand exactly who can access any information you share.

Your Personal Information

By default, PHapp does not collect your name, email, home address, or other identifying details. Two exceptions, both limited and by your choice:

  • If you sign up for text alerts, we use your mobile number solely to deliver them.
  • If you create an optional Hub Account, it stores only your preferences (such as locations and language), for your convenience.

Your Location

We do not track your physical location. To route alerts to you, our servers hold a minimal record that a device is subscribed to your chosen location(s) and language. This is not tied to your identity, is not accessible to PHapp staff or third parties as personal data, and stays under your control — you can change it at any time.

Anonymous Usage Statistics

If you opt in to share anonymous usage statistics:

  • The data is completely anonymized before leaving your device
  • It cannot be linked back to you or your location
  • It is used only by our development team to improve the app
  • It is never sold or shared with third parties
  • You can opt out at any time in Settings

Alert Data You Receive

The alerts you receive:

  • Come directly from official government agencies
  • Are not monitored or tracked by PHapp
  • Are not stored on our servers
  • Remain private to you

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Know what data is collected (minimal, as described above)
  • Opt out of any optional data sharing
  • Delete the app and all its data at any time
  • Contact support with privacy questions
