How does PHapp® determine which alerts to send me?
Control which alerts you receive and how you receive them
PHapp delivers alerts based on the location you choose to monitor. Here's how it works:
Location-Based Alerts
When you set up PHapp, you select the location you want to monitor. You'll receive alerts for the specific location you've chosen.
Choosing What You Are Notified About
You choose what PHapp notifies you about, in Settings:
- Topics you follow — which subjects (weather, wildfire, disease, food recalls, and more). Choosing topics needs you to be signed in.
- Notifications & channels — where alerts go and how much. Without signing in you can turn App push on or off; when signed in you can also turn SMS on or off and choose how much: Don’t notify me, Only urgent, Important & up, or Everything
PHapp filters alerts to what is relevant to your community and these settings.
