Why Share Alerts
Sharing alerts helps you:

- Warn friends who may be affected by an alert

- Help those who may not have PHapp installed
How to Share an Alert
To share any alert:
- Open the alert you want to share
- Tap the Share icon (usually an arrow or share symbol)
- Choose how you want to share:
- Text message (SMS)
- Social media (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
- Messaging apps (WhatsApp, Signal, etc.)
- Copy link to clipboard
- Select recipients and send
What Gets Shared
When you share an alert, the recipient receives:
- Alert title and description
- Location affected
- Date and time issued
- Action steps and recommended guidance
- Link to view full details and updates
- Source agency information
Privacy and Sharing
When you share alerts:
- Your personal information is not included
- Your monitoring locations remain private
- Recipients see only the alert information, not your settings
- Shared links are public and can be viewed by anyone
Encouraging Others to Download PHapp
When you share alerts, consider including a note encouraging recipients to download PHapp so they can receive alerts automatically. You can also use the "Invite Friends" feature in the app to send download links.
