How to create a custom map?

Overlay geographic data on alerts using custom maps in Portal by Hub

The Portal by Hub lets you create custom maps to display location-specific information within PHapp® alerts.

What Are Custom Maps?

Custom maps allow you to overlay geographic data on alerts, such as:

  • Evacuation zones and shelter locations
  • Testing and vaccination sites
  • Affected areas during an incident
  • Community resource locations

Creating a Custom Map

To create a custom map in the Portal by Hub:

  1. Sign in to the Portal by Hub
  2. Navigate to the Maps section
  3. Upload a GeoJSON or formatted data file with your geographic features
  4. Configure display options (colors, labels, boundaries)
  5. Associate the map with the relevant alert cards
