How to create a custom map?
Overlay geographic data on alerts using custom maps in Portal by Hub
The Portal by Hub lets you create custom maps to display location-specific information within PHapp® alerts.
What Are Custom Maps?
Custom maps allow you to overlay geographic data on alerts, such as:
- Evacuation zones and shelter locations
- Testing and vaccination sites
- Affected areas during an incident
- Community resource locations
Creating a Custom Map
To create a custom map in the Portal by Hub:
- Sign in to the Portal by Hub
- Navigate to the Maps section
- Upload a GeoJSON or formatted data file with your geographic features
- Configure display options (colors, labels, boundaries)
- Associate the map with the relevant alert cards
